The Predator campaign follows a clan of Predators as they seek a rare Xenomorph queen, while the human campaign follows a human marine sent to investigate the planet. The Alien campaign follows the species' attempt to regain control of a human-colonized planet. The single-player mode of Aliens Versus Predator 2 follows three separate campaigns, one for each race. It is the sequel to Aliens Versus Predator, released in 1999.
